Williamson County has an unbelievable growth spurt going on right now, here are some interesting demographics, that even I wasn't aware of:
In 2006, we had 333,588 people w/an estimated 33% more in 2011 expected to rise to 401,091 people. Now, I know when I moved to Round Rock in the 80's the population was around 24,000 it is now over 61,000. That is alot of folks. Williamson County is split 50% Male and 50% Female. 68% White/Caucasian, 20% Hispanic, 6% African American, 4% Asian, 2% Two or more races. Average Age is: 33.5 (wish I could say that). 67% are Married - no wonder my single friends can't find a date.
We are an educated group with 34% of Age 25+ having a bachelor's degree or more. Population per home 2.8, Average income is around $79,616, 77% owner occupied with the median home value at $153,867.
