Happy New Years Eve eve, Let the good times roll

Today in the Austin American Statesman, they had an article about how to cope, handle and get rid of a hangover on New Year's Day. Interesting in the fact that it assumes we are all going to get wasted. Hmmm Ok well, they mentioned some places that I am definately going to try, but not hungover.

The first one is Papalote Taco House on South Lamar. Their recommendation was to try their tacos with eggs, cheese, tomatoes and chips on a homemade corn tortilla with a Mexican coke or a Topo Chico. Next place, I want to hit is Phil's Icehouse also on South Lamar - here, if I could split this burger with someone, I would have the Phil-a-Buster, that looks to die for with 2 beef patties, cheese, all the veggies on a sourdough bun. OMG!!

The article wrote about several places for Menudo, but I can't stomach, stomach.....No thanks!! Not noted but very notable is the Texas Chili Parlor located downtown Austin on Lavaca...the best bloody mary's outside of my home (cause I make the best ever)!! Anything is good here, but have the chili and a bloody mary and you will feel much better. Also, the Tortilla Chicken soup at Rio Grande along with an award winning margarita can do the trick.

Anyone want to suggest other places?
