Garland ISD School Supply Lists

Wooziers ... Summer is drawing to a close and it's time to get ready for SCHOOL! First Day of School for Garland ISD is Monday, August 22nd.

If you have kiddos in Pre-K or Elementary that are in the Garland School District, they have broken down just what School Supplies your kiddos need for the 1st Day of School.

In addition to the required GISD School Supply List, don't for the other necessary Back To School Items like, Back Packs andLunch Boxes.

Ohhh, and why not stock up on some School Lunch Items as well, like the Zip Lock Bags, Disposable Mini Storage Containers, Mini Bags of Chips, Individual Packs of Pudding, ect.

Here are some Back To School Shopping Tips I've picked up from parents as the dreaded shopping season comes closer.

• Shop at your neighborhood Walmart in the wee morning hours to avoid the crowds!
• Team Up with a fellow parents and shop at Costco or Sam's Club ... Buy in Bulk & lessen your cost!
• Or if you're like my husband, shop Online like at Amazon ... Become a "Prime" Member & you don't have to pay for Shipping or Taxes on your Back To School / School Supply Lists Items or any future items!

AND don't forget, Texas is one of the few states that has the Back To School Tax Free Shopping Weekend, which is August 19-21st! The Texas Tax Free Weekend includes everything from Undergarments, Pants/Jeans, Shirts, Regular Shoes (like Sneakers & Sandals), and all items on the GISD School Supply List plus Back Packs. It'll be a great time to also make sure your kiddo(s) have the needed clothes for the GISD Dress Code.
