Everytime I cruise the MLS I see the word "NEW." NEW: appliances, toilets, ceiling fans, carpet and MUCH MORE.
Really?
The word new is an adjective meaning NOT existing before; made, introduced, or discovered recently or now for the first time.
So what about BRAND-NEW? What the hell does that mean? At what point in time does something STOP being new? I have a perspective...
Here's what ISN'T new:
1. If a toilet has been flushed, it's no longer new. One flush means USED.
2. If the carpet has been walked on and is more than 1 day old, it's not new.
3. If the air condition has been turned on for more than a couple of days, it's not new.
So what are the items I just mentioned? They're NEWER!
The word NEWER is your friend. Use it. Stop typing ... NEW ROOF when it's 9 months old. Deceptive trade practices tops the list for lawsuits. This means people despise being mislead, lied to or treated unfairly. More importantly, most people dislike it when someone tries to pull one over on them.
I'm glad I'm not single. I can't imagine what it would be like meeting a woman only to find out she's 35 pounds heavier in person. Don't get me started on Realtor photo's.
