TEXAS CLAY FESTIVAL

What: The 19th Annual Texas Clay Festival

When: Saturday- October 22 10am – 6pm

Sunday- October 23 10am – 5pm

Where: Historic Gruene, Texas (four miles north of New Braunfels).

The festival is held on the grounds of Buck Pottery. Featuring over 60 of Texas’s finest clay artists, the festival offers visitors the opportunity to meet the artists, view and purchase their latest work , and watch demonstrations throughout both days.

Now is a good time to pick up some unique gifts for Christmas. Spend the day at Gruene browsing through the many shops and eat some great food. The weather is nice, no rain expected so put on your comfortable walking shoes, pick up your wallet or purse and head on over to Gruene Texas this weekend.

Directions: From San Antonio:

take IH 35 north just past New Braunfels to the Canyon Lake exit FM 306. Go left 2 miles to the traffic light and Hunter road, turn left and follow to Gruene.

From Austin:

follow I-35 South. Then exit FM 306 (Exit 191) off of 35 and turn right. Follow the signs to Gruene Historical District. (straight about 2 miles and at the second light turn left). This will take you right through Gruene and put you facing the Dance Hall.

From Houston:

take IH 10 West to the New Braunfels Hwy. 46 exit (at Seguin). Go north to New Braunfels. Inf New Braunfels Hwy. 46 becomes Loop 337, stay north to the Gruene road Exit. Follow Gruene Road to Gruene Historical District.
