Conversation with an Automated Voice messaging service

I called this morning to an Insurance Company to change the bank draft on my account and here is how the conversation went ( The name of the Insurance Company will remain nameless - I will call it XYZ )

XYZ - " Thank you for calling XYZ Insurance Company - if you know your parties extension press 1 now "

Me - I pressed 1

XYZ - "I'm sorry I didn't get that. Thank you for calling XYZ Insurance Company - if you know your parties extension press 1 now."

Me - Now I pressed 1 REALLY HARD on my cell phone

XYZ - " We did not recognize your entry. Please try again."

Me - so now I pressed it several times - 1 1 1 1 1

XYZ - " I'm sorry - that entry is invalid - please try again."

Me - so now I am thinking the number 1 doesn't work so let's see if I can get an operator so I pressed 0

XYZ - " If you know your parties extension please press the five digit number now."

Me - Ok...I don't know the extension so I am pressing 0 0 0 0 0

XYZ - " Thank you for calling XYZ Insurance Company, our offices are now closed - please call during regular business hours. Our hours are 9am to 5 pm."


Needless to say, I was rather upset after that entire ordeal. I can only imagine what people do who have jobs and have to do this during their lunch hour.
