Great source for Texas Real Estate news

Wow, I never expected such a HUGE response in less than 24 hours. I am a newbie to blogging, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but WOW!! Thanks for all your greetings, too. I am so excited I just had to do another.

Here in Texas we are truly blessed to have the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University(www.recenter.tamu.edu). They are THE SOURCE for real estate information in Texas: residential, commercial, you name it. They also post news relevant to the industry. They have a weekly email newsletter that is incredible. If you want to know anything about the real estate market in Texas, you need to go to their site. I get the newsletter and I still find myself at their site almost daily. Do any of you outside Texas have a similar source? I would love to see some of the same stats in some of the cities that aren't fairing as well as we are.

Prime examples of very important recent updates from RE Center:
-Texas unemployment rates dropped from last month to 4.1%, down from 4.4% this time last year, great considering the national average is 5%.
-San Antonio was recently listed in the top 10 "recession proof" cities by Forbes magazine, and is still one of the top ten fastest growing cities in the nation, averaging over 4400 new residents a month.

Next blog-more data straight from the Real Estate Market Overview 2008, put together by the RE Center.
