Do your homework... forward planning

You are looking to make that step; buying a home. Great! It's still one of the best investments you can do! Now, I have to give you a bit of advice; as a real estate professional, I can't tell what neighborhood is "crime good" or not for you. Your agent has a code of ethics that we follow, being a real estate professional and a veteran that proudly served for over 20 years, ethics is a core value that I honor and follow without questions.

As a homebuyer, looking and hearing about the new state of affairs and industry advantages, research the area. You will be happy if you do. Do your home work; it'll pay off in the end. Trust me! I had clients I offer this advice to and they still thank me for the suggestion.

I recommend going by an area at different times of the day to get a real feeling of the neighborhood. While I can't, as a Realtor, steer you from one area or another, I do suggest you take the time to become familiar with the neighborhood you find a home you are interested in. You won't regret this advice in the end, trust me.

Real estate involves several diffent aspects and you need to ensure that you do your home work. You agent is your guide, your key, your professional, and the one that ensures that you get the best deal, on the buyers side and seller side. We are trained and study the market, to ensure you we provide the best information/knowledge and advice to aide you in the right choice.

You find your agent doesn't meet this criteria? Guess what? Fire him, find you a Realtor that will match your enthusiasm and make your needs his job. Don't be "put on the spot" thinking you have to work with someone you're not happy with! You are making my industry better by screening your agents, hold them to the highest standards! I do all I can to please my clients, why shouldn't they??? I expect and demand that my fellow agents handle your needs right! Point blank! Trust me; there are other agents that agree with my beliefs. The real agents are here for you, and take our "code of ethics" as a way we do business. I look forward to working with you and them.
