Chocolate Angel Tea Room in Richardson, Texas - Business Review

If you're looking for something special to do in Richardson this week, venture to Chocolate Angel Tea Room, a chic spot for Saturday brunch or a small get-together. I've had the opportunity to enjoy their services a number of times, even holding a small shower there before my wedding in 2008.

Chocolate Angel Tea Room - The Story
The staff of Chocolate Angel has truly poured their heart into the business of serving people and providing a great atmosphere for dining. Sisters Sherrie McCall and Marcia Clingan named their establishment after their mother, Mary Ruth, who passed away several years ago. It's in honor of Mary Ruth's ability to make wonderful rich homemade chocolate fudge (something that could never quite be duplicated). From stories, Mary Ruth loved to entertain as a hostess and was a wonderful cook, thus spurring the birth of Chocolate Angel Tea Room.
Chocolate Angel Tea Room - Their Atmosphere
Southern women delight in the ambiance of their tearoom and cafe, each with their own decidedly different decor. "Shabby Chic" describes the majority of their establishment with lace details, aged wooden furniture and the mix of serviceware and dining utensils - one room, the tearoom, is even completely white! Expect to find a great mix of women (though men are invited) throughout the rooms, ranging from a small group of coworkers to a large bridal or baby shower. You may even catch a glimpse of the regulars - the ladies of the Red Hat Society.

Chocolate Angel Tea Room - Their Food
Light in substance but heavy in size, you can breezily fill up on their signature salads and sandwiches. They also serve a great selection of soups, scones and desserts to accompany your meal. Beverages come in all shapes and sizes - hot or cold tea, flavored teas and soft drinks of your choice. A favorite of mine has always been the Chocolate Angel Salad Sampler that comes complete with your choice (3) of chicken salad, tuna salad, pasta salad, fruit salad, broccoli-raisin salad, strawberry pretzel congealed salad (yumm), pink arctic freeze, house salad or spinach salad and a side of tea bread (scone). Their sandwiches are great as well and they also cater to large groups with their separate menu of favorites for a Boxed lunch service.

I would recommend you visit Chocolate Angel Tea Room sometime this week and enjoy their service yourself!
