If you're new to the area and interested in living in the City of Richardson, take the time to read a little bit about Richardson and what what this city has to offer you and your family.

Richardson lies in both Dallas County and Collin County, to the north. It's estimated in 2007 that the population of the city was just over 100,000 and booms with business opportunity with major business areas that include Silicon Prairie and the Telecom Corridor, where my office is located.

Telecom Corridor Richardson

Richardson DevelopmentRichardson was settled during the 1840s by people from Kentucky and Tennessee that joined the Caddo and Comanche tribes that were here. The town was eventually named after E.H. Richardson who built a railroad line (T&NO) from Denison to Dallas. Greenville Avenue brought much of Richardson's boom in the early 1920s. Major growth was then felt again after World War II and into the late 50's.

Since then, DART has added to the ease of transporting citizens with three of their light rail stations near Central Expressway. Education is easily attainable with the locations of The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) and Richland College, a community college within the Dallas County Community College District, as well as DeVry and ITT Technical locations.
