Thank you BPW Richardson, TX! - Home Staging Featured at Monthly Meeting

Tonight I had the honor and pleasure of sharing the benefits of home staging with the Business and Professional Women's (BPW) Club of Richardson, TX. It was a wonderful evening spent in the company of business women in my local community who graciously invited me to share with them what I do as a home staging professional.

I had been contacted over a month ago by a BPW member, Saundra Honea, who had read the home staging article from the September 2008 Dallas Morning News, How to Stage your Home to Sell Fast, in which I was interviewed, and thought it would be an interesting topic for their monthly meeting.

Of course I said, "Yes!"

Whenever I get the opportunity to share with a others about home staging I jump at the chance.

It's especially wonderful when the group invites you and WANTS to hear what you have to say. For me, speaking or giving a presentation anywhere provides a valuable educational opportunity to discuss the power and advantages of staging a home for sale. After all, most people are home owners or will be someday and most home owners will sell at some point and home staging is always a valuable topic to learn about.

President, Diedra Fulton, started the meeting with an ice breaker that made me feel right at home. She asked the members what their idea of selling their home would look like. Many were of the "we're taking a cruise and letting someone else do it" mind set and of course I told them enjoy that cruise and I'll be happy to take care of it for you along with their trusted Realtor of course!

I must admit though, I was not aware of the BPW organization, a national organization, until Saundra called. But after researching their organization and speaking to members, I know they do great work in our community through leadership, fundraising and scholarship programs for girls.
