Sachse Texas November 2011 New Construction Market Report

Sachse, Texas November 2011 New Construction Market Report

Here is a little history about Sachse, Texas:

William Sachse put his stamp on the rolling prairie of North Texas. This young man from Prussia arrived in the Texas countryside in 1845 and quickly began acquiring land. He established cotton mills, gins and, in 1886, gave some of his land to the railroad. The town was named for him.

I know when someone is not from here by the way they pronounce Sachse. It has a distinct sound and if you say it wrong, I know this is my chance to educate you on the area!

William Sachse's rolling prairie now sits 20 miles northeast of downtown Dallas on Highway 78 and squarely in the path of explosive growth! Sachse is 3 miles north of Highway 190, which provides quick access to Plano, Richardson, Garland, North Dallas and Central Expressway. This also means Sachse is 3 miles from Firewheel Mall. To me this means I don't have to drive to Plano to the movies, to shop or find a good restaurant! They are all close by now !

Many new residents are discovering Sachse. The population has boomed accordingly!

The housing market is racing to keep up. As you might imagine, there is lots of new construction with starter homes, gated communities and apartments.

Sachse is served by two school systems:

Garland and Wylie Independent School Districts. Students living in Dallas County attend Garland's schools and those in Collin County attend Wylie schools. The Garland schools are unique in that they don't place students through attendance zones. Rather, parents choose which campus their child should attend.

Sachse is a growing community well placed to take advantage of surrounding cultural amenities while offering a few of its own. Each fall brings the Sachse Fallfest, an event that attracts thousands to its arts and crafts country fair. Sachse also boasts the 18-hole Woodbridge Golf Course, home of the North Texas chapter of the PGA of America.

Many churches are in Sachse like Northplace Church. Northplace has purchased land on the I90 Corridor to build a new building which is still in the Sachse city limits. They love this town so much they decided to grow with the town!

If you haven't ventured out to 78N past I90 and the Firewheel Mall, drive out and see the booming little town pronounced SACK-SEE !!
