Don't rain on our Fiesta parades: Battle of Flowers Parade, Fiesta Flambeau Parade, Texas Cavaliers River Parade, King William Fair & Parade, Lackland Fiesta Military Parade

For the first time anyone can remember, the opening-day kickoff yesterday for San Antonio's annual Fiesta celebration was swamped by rain. It was rescheduled for noon today in Gateway Plaza. Preparation for Fiesta began in November so a lot of people were disappointed about the rain showing up uninvited. The sun is now peeking out and although I haven't seen a weather forecast yet, I have my fingers crossed for the success of our citywide party which will run through April 25.
