Texas Vets can own a piece of Texas!!!

Texas Vets!! Did you know you can own a piece of Texas with a below market interest rate loan for land? Purchase one acre or more up to $80,000 for a 30 year fixed-rate loan with Texas Veteran Land Board. You can also get repossessed tracts of land from the Forfeited Land Sales that will be held in April and October each year. For a VLB loan, it only requires a minimum of 5% down, certified survey, and $325 appraisal and contract service fee.

There are two types of Forfeited Land Sales, Type I and Type II. Type I sales are for Texas veterans only who do not currently have a loan with the VLB, or who have successfully repaid their previous loan to VLB. Type II sales are for veterans and the general public. These sales are not sold semi-annually, but are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
