Many Days on Market for a San Antonio Texas Home for Sale Might Not Tell The Whole Story
When looking for a Realtor® to sell your San Antonio Texas home for sale you may look at some of their past sales to see how successful they may be. That makes perfect sense, however, some times you may look at a particular listing or two and notice
that the days on market may be a bit longer than you would like on some listings and may cause you to think twice about hiring that particular agent.
The truth of the matter is this though, days on market in this San Antonio Texas Real Estate market may not be the best indicator of a Realtors® performance. Back in the day when homes were flying off the market in less than 30 to 60 days, you could probably raise your eyebrows at a home that has been on the market longer than 6 months. Something was probably really wrong with either the home or the price. The Real Estate market being what it is now, it isn't uncommon to see a home on the market for a year or more.
That is the cold, hard, truth of the matter. One could obviously say, when a home is on the market that long, then just drop the price to accommodate, but you know, as well as I, that not every seller can do that. Many sellers in today's San Antonio Real Estate Market have little to no equity in the home and to avoid bringing tons of cash to the closing table must sell at a certain price...and that doesn't mean they are necessarily overpriced.
Looking for a Realtor® to sell your home should encompass plenty of things....but I personally think one of the most important things is what are they going to do for you, the seller? If I were looking for someone to sell my house and I noticed they had a home on the market for a while, I would wonder to myself...why would someone stay with such a Realtor® if they haven't sold their home yet? Why does this Realtor® inspire that type of loyalty when so many others let their home expire or go find another Realtor®.
Perhaps because there is more to selling the home than well...selling the home. Now, quite obviously, the ultimate goal is to sell your San Antonio Texas home for sale for sure! But how are we going to get to that goal and how are we going to spend that journey together given that we may be spending some time together before the actual sale.
So here's the skinny.
