Wordless Wednesday in San Antonio, Texas

This photo was taken in San Antonio, Texas; my hometown. The Alamo is a famous landmark and may not be as well known as the Eiffel Tower, The Houses of Parliament or Big Bend, or even the Sydney Opera house but to me it is every bit as beautiful and probably more precious as the Alamo represents FREEDOM!

The Battle of the Alamo as it is referred to; occurred for 13 days; February 23rd and March 6 in 1836. This was an important Battle even though the Texans were defeated; it spurred the Spirit of Texas in the winning of our independence from Mexico. The Battle cry of all soldiers became “Remember the Alamo.”

I love travelling as many people know; but to me there is no city quite like My San Antonio; the Alamo City.
