It's Time to Get Your Running Shoes On! | Northeast Tarrant County | Keller TX | Southlake TX | Ft.Worth TX

Well folks, it is that time of the year again, the first official day of Fall is this week on Friday the 23^rd September 2011. With the fall season it means many things here in Northeast Tarrant County Real Estate; the start of High School Football, otherwise known as "Friday Night Lights" here in Texas.

There is also Major League Baseball Playoff season getting ready to start and because “Your Texas Rangers” are defending American League Champions, it looks like they have the American League West Division almost locked up. It also means that hockey preseason has started and the NBA season is right around the corner, and North Texas has a lot to be excited about this season, since our Dallas Mavericks are defending NBA Champions this year. And last but not least, let’s not forget the NFL and our Dallas Cowboys and how can I forget my favorite sport of all, College Football.

I think that covers most of the major sports in the area. But with the Fall season upon us, it also means another time of the year has arrived. It’s running season, and almost every single weekend during the Fall there is a 5k race or marathon going on in one of the local communities.

This weekend, you have a rare opportunity to do two races in one day here in Northeast Tarrant County Real Estate. You see, most races take place early in the morning, usually around 0730-0800 and that is the case this weekend as well, but there is also a night time race this Saturday as well. Both races are located within Northeast Tarrant County Real Estate.

If you can get up early Saturday morning, then head over to Southlake Town Square in Southlake Texas (TX) for the 5k Run for PKD. The 5k starts at 0830 and the Children’s walk is at 0900, with the 1 mile walk at 0930. The 5k Run for PKD is benefiting the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation. Once you get done with that race and you have recuperated and feel that you can fit another race in, then there is a Candlelighters Nightrun in Burnett Park Plaza in downtown Fort Worth. So dust off those running shoes, and dig out your running clothes and get to stepping, get in shape and help out a local charity at the same time.
