The 22nd Annual Spring Texas Crawfish and Music Festival will take place the last two weekends in April. The dates are April 18th-20th and April 25th-27th. This has been a tradition for over 20 years.
The festival is located in Old Town Spring. This is quoted as being the largest crawfish festival outside of Louisiana.
the top country, blues, zydeco and rock acts. The best new sounds of Texas combined with the sounds of South Louisiana. Proceeds from the festival are used for the preservation and beautification of Old Town Spring, community projects and service organizations.

Marchel, I must confess I've never eaten a crawfish before! This sounds like a great festival, love these events!
Marchel, this sounds like so much fun. I would definitely go if it was a "little" closer! ;-)
Marchel - That sounds like the type of event at which I would have had fun; sorry it is so far away.
Good Morning Marchel,
Sounds like you will have a great weekend, what a great event and the price is very reasonable. Good times, good music and good eats......what more could one ask for? Oh, good weather, I hope it cooperates.
Marchel, you can tell it's Crawfish season in the south! There's a Crawfish Festival in Wimberley, TX this weekend. We're planning to go. Hmmm, wish I could get over to Spring, TX to attend the one there too. I love Spring, TX.
Hi Marchel...I have a question...do they mail the food? Looks like fun, wished I could attend. Nice post.
Howdy Marchel
There sure is alot of fun a goen on, in April in the
Grant State of Texas.
I like eaten Crawfish.
That sounds like a plan. I love me some mud bugs. My 5 year old LOVES them as well. We may have to come swing by.
This weekend is booked, but I would like to try for next weekend. Thanks for posting these festivals Marchel. Events like these are always family fun.
Marchel, I think I've gained five pounds just reading this post! That sounds like it's worth a plane ride down there!
I'll be there!! WE LOVE the Zydeco bands. I haven't shopped in OTS in awhile either. Sounds like it's time I headed that way.
Marchel,
I too love zydeco music. It is so different and grows on you. Maybe we will sneek over and try the festivities Sounds fun!
DEBBIE, I have to confess until moving to Texas I had never eaten crawfish either. I like them but it is a lot of work to eat and very messy. It does seem to be growing on me.
TERI, It is a fun time.
JENNIFER, It is always the last two weekends in April should you ever make it to Texas.
CYNTHIA, We are having picture perfect weather this weekend so I expect they are having a good turnout. I was busy walking for cancer so maybe next weekend. That is the good thing about it being two weekends.
JUDI, I'm not sure where Wimberly Texas is. It is crawfish season isn't it?
GARY, It would take a big package. The first time I ever had crawfish I couldn't believe how much they put on my plate. The thing was it only looked like a lot; you really have to work for your food. It is worth the work though.
DALE, There's lot of crawfish eatin going on at this time of the year in Texas.
CHRISTINA, The fun part of this festival is where it is at. I love visiting all those cute litte shops in Old Town Spring.
I have been to a crawfish party before, its now annual events as well. It was a fantastic time! Although I have to say I was a bigger fan of the red beans & rice that is always there as well.
FRANK, You are welcome. This one was easy to post as it is an annual event and this is the second year I posted information about it. I love all the festivals around our area.
PATRICIA, It does seem to center around food; doesn't it?
CHERI, I love shopping in Old Town Spring also. They have some quaint little shops.
TREY, It isn't far. We brought our daughter over to College Station a few weeks ago to talk to a recruiter and I was surprised at how quickly we got over there.
Hey, Marchel... What a great time. I've always enjoyed ever crawfish boil I've ever been to; standing at the newspaper covered table, having the crawfish, corn and potatoes poured out, telling stories and laughing all evening. this event sounds like a major party!
I looooooovvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeee me some BUUUUUGGGGGSSSS!!!! I think I should have been born in Louisiana as much as I love Crawfish...I'm going to try to make this NEXT year - sorry going out of town again next month for family - got to take a break in April!!!
BO, We have a lot of crawfish boils in our area. Is that a big thing in Georgia also? I had never even heard of them before moving here.
NATHAN, Somehow I had not thought of them as bugs. If you have not been to Old Town Spring it is a fun place to visit. Have fun with your family; those breaks are important. We always made that a priority.
Hi Marchel, Sounds like fun! Can't eat the crawfish though. We played with them as kids, had crawfish races but never could eat them.
Like so many others I have not had these critters either - I have had Crawdads..... but not crawfish....
Hey, Marchel.... Crawfish boils aren't very big in Georgia as a whole, but I go to my uncle's house on the Sabine river, about 60 miles north of Lake Charles, in Deridder, LA several times a year, and we always have a big crawfish boil down on the river. Some of the culture has spread to my more adventurous, partying friends around here, however!
