Welcome the Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce!!

Welcome the Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce!!

Old Town Spring in Spring TXWe have lived in Spring for 11 years now and I have always felt a little isolated in that we really didn't have a town since Spring is just an unincorporated area of Northwest Harris County.  I am so excited to say we do now have our own chamber.  The Spring/Klein Chamber is in its infancy.  It was the brain child of Tony Richard the publisher and editor of the Tomball-Spring Times

There are chambers in The Woodlands, Magnolia, Tomball and Northwest Houston but up until now people who lived in Spring and wanted to be in a chamber had to drive to one of those locations.

The goal of the Spring-Klein chamber is to connect through networking.  By connecting with other established executives, business owners and other professionals it will help to ensure our success while contributing to the success of others.   To assist its members the Spring-Klein Chamber will offer regular networking and promotional opportunities.

A monthly luncheon takes place the first Tuesday of every month.  The meeting is currently taking place at the Sizzler on 2920 just to the west of Kuykendahl.  There will be a variety of speakers speaking on business, the area and other motivational topics.  The luncheon fee is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.  Click here to RSVP for the Spring/Klein luncheon.

Business promotion takes place through the Spring Klein Chamber of Commerce website and its newsletter "Thrive", also through a membership directory and a new member announcement in the Tomball-Spring Times.

Membership offers business exposure, media exposure, discounts at local area retailers and the opportunity to build professional business relationships with other people in your community.  There are different levels of membership from a Premium Corporate level to an individual level with prices varying from $500 to $75.  Results Realty joined at the Business Level for $150 a year.  These are initial fees and may change in later years.

Spring Klein Chamber of Commerce Christmas in JulyThe Chamber is holding their first fundraiser on July 25th at the Augusta Pines Golf Club.  It will be Christmas in July.  I am on the auction committee and we are presently looking for donations.  These could be big items or small items.  It could be something as simple as a haircut, oil change, a summer gift basket etc. We have a live auctioneer who is donating his time to make this a fun auction for us.  If you have any items you would like to donate please contact me at Marchel@AgentwithResults.com.  For complete information about the event go the Spring Klein Chamber website.  I will be writing post about the event as it gets closer also.

Personally I think it is a ground floor opportunity to get involved in our community.  I am enjoying getting involved and meeting other business owners in my community. I hope you will consider joining.

Very exciting stuff Marchel. There is always an extra sense of excitement when something is new. Especially something new with great room for growth and potential for your community.

Howdy Marchel

Congrats on Spring having it's own Chamber of Commerce.

Heres an idea for Y'all to think about, forming a group of diplomat's. What this group dose, is go to the ribobon cuting of new busines's openings.

Back home in Mo. I was a diplomat with the Chamber in Liberty, Mo.

It always made the new folk's feel good, that other business folk's of the community came to show their support and welcome them to the community.

God Bless The U.S.A.

WENDY, It is EXCITING!  I love Spring but it would be really cool to have an actual town of Spring and getting a chamber is the step in that direction.

LINDA,  We have quite a number of chambers around but it is exciting to finally have one that is actually in Spring.

DALE, I know that our Tomball chamber does that and we are looking to emulate them so I'm expecting some day that will happen.  Our growth is phenomenal so there could be lots of ribbon cuttings.  It is a GROWING area.  Where we are meeting was a cow pasture less than 5 years ago.

Marchel, I'm happy for you that the Spring-Klein chamber is up and running and you are there at the controls for the first fund raiser. This area of Harris county has always been beautiful and this will promote it some more.

Marchel,
Great post, well done written and I like your buttons :) Did I tell you once that I was in borderline with Laredo, Tx ? I lived in Mexico many years and cross the bridge almost daily. :) BTW, Can you send me your information again? I wrote in the other blog that I lost all my emails, so I lost you.
sorry for that ! and it is nice to be here with all of you.

Marchel - That is great news.  A chamber of Commerce contributes so much to a community.  It is truly a great way to promote your business and network with other business people.  It is still one of the sites people check when relocating to an area therefore  being listed on the site provides additional exposure.

Marchel, great post for localism! Good luck with the Spring-Klein Chamber of Commerce.

Marchel, I bet getting in on the ground floor of the new chamber will do great things for your business. Have a great day,

Hi Marchel, this is a big step and the area will reap many benefits from having it and so will you as a member.  Keep us posted as to the growth and changes that take place with the inclusion of the Chamber.  Nice update Marchel.

GOOD FOR YOU MARCHEL!!  That is great news for your area.  A city's Chamber of Commerce is a great asset an area and its business owners.  The fees look very reasonable so I hope your local businesses get on board.  I hope the fundraiser is a success as well.

Hi Marchel,
An active Chamber of Commerce is a tremendous asset for a town or community.  I understand your excitement and enthusism......seeing the transformation will be rewarding.

GARY WOLTAL, We do live in a beautiful area of Harris County and I think a chamber can help it to stay that way.  We are hopeful that we don't end up looking like 1960 which is such a mish mash.

RAY, Thanks for stopping by.  I will send you an email from AR please reply to it and then I can send you all my information.  That's a bummer losing all your emails.  I now have mine backed up on my TREO.

JENNIFER, I'm excited about our new chamber.  I could have joined some of the neighboring chambers but I guess I was holding out.

MITCHELL, Thanks!  Localism is the perfect place to advertise something like a new chamber; isn't it?  I love that feature of AR.

JUDY, I do think it is a great ground floor opportunity.  It takes worker bees to get something like this going so a worker bee I will be.

GARY WHITE, I expect this is the first of many post about the new chamber.  The next one will cover Christmas in July.

KIMBERLY, I hope the fundraiser will be a HUGE success also.  I live in walking distance to Augusta Pines Golf Course so it is literally taking place in my own backyard also which is way cool!!

CYNTHIA,  I think it is something that is needed for Spring.  Maybe we can eventually even become our own town, that would be Wonderful!!

Marchel--This sounds like a wonderful networking opportunity for all community members! Best of luck with the fundraiser.

TERI, I'm excited that we finally have a chamber in our own backyard and I am enjoying being involved with it from the beginning.

I like Chamber events. We have monthly mixers sponsored by members. Those are great for networking.

Congratulations Marchel.  Its on to bigger and better things fom here on out.
