If you are looking for something fun to do, Market Street in the Woodlands is the place to go. The shopping and restaurants are incredible! Market Street has 8 new stores opening up this fall. If you have not visited in a while it will be a whole new shopping experience.

We were there on a beautiful fall day. Yes this is FALL in The Woodlands. The return of the cooler fall temperatures also brings the return of the Jazz bands. Come to Market street on Thursdays evenings bring your blankets or lawn chairs and listen to free Jazz Concerts from 6;30 to 9;30 through November 1st. If you don't make it in the fall I expect the concerts will return in the Spring.

Getting around is easy with both waterway trolleys and water taxis. They operate along the entire area, linking the office buildings, shopping, dining, and other establishments.
Along with shopping, watching the kids play in the fountain there are numerous restaurants and most have outside seating. You can make a full day of shopping, playing, eating and then end your day at the Cinemark movie theatre.

This is only one small section of the Woodlands, we have not even visited the mall or the new waterway. Come and see for yourself.

Marchel - your posts have me wanting to visit Spring and Woodlands - see you in a couple weeks - I hope
Thesa, I took the day off Friday and we went to Market Street. It was a fun day. The kids were having a ball in the fountain. See you soon.
Marchel, Market Street looks like an updated version of the 'downtown' areas from the 50's and early 60's. Just beautiful!
Mary, I think they are building the Town Center in the Woodlands with the downtowns of the 50's and 60's in mind. My son has a friend who lives in an apartment along the river walk and he does not even have a car; he rides his bike everywhere. Everything you could want is right there including a grocery store.
Marchel - Every town has a Market Street. Your market Street is rather inviting. I agree with Thesa, I too have the desire to visit just from reading your post.
Jennifer, our Market Street is relatively new. It was just built a few years ago. When we moved here 10 years ago The Woodlands did not have a Town Center. So their solution was to build one and they have done an incredible JOB! It is a hopping place!
Marchel - Nice visual post of the Market Street in the Woodlands. You did a great job!
Beautiful post, Marchel. The Woodlands are really growing. Thanks for sharing.
Marchel I love this post. Those pictures are great!! It looks like it was a beautiful day for shopping!! Well, now that I think about it... just about ANY day is a beautiful day for shopping. Can you guess what one of my favorite past times could be?
Candy, thank you! It was a fun day!
Robert, if you have not been here for a while you will not recognize The Woodlands. The newest village is opening up here in Harris County.
Kimberly, I will need to go back without my husband. He is not a shopper and they have opened up all kinds of new shops I need to check out.
I have been here and it really is a fun place to go visit and walk around. Some great places to eat there too!!
Shellee, I had not been for a while. I need to go back without my husband and check all the new shops out. He is a terrible shopper.
Wow, these are some really neat photos. I just clicked through to check out your blog and was pretty impressed by it. Very nicely done.
John, thanks! That means a lot! I was impressed with your articles.
