Sherwood Forest is a small subdivision located in the city limits of Tomball Texas, off of Baker Road and SH 249. There are about 150 homes in the subdivision. If you are looking for a subdivision with light restrictions and a low HOA fee this might be just what you are looking for. You may have your travel trailer in the yard but no permanent mobile homes are allowed in the subdivision. By low HOA fees the fees at the present time are $10 per year.

The subdivision was developed in the mid 1960's with homes being built through 2003. The majority of the homes were built in the late 1970's and early 1980's. Square footage ranges from a low of about 1200 square feet to 2600 square feet. Current sales ranged from $135,000 to $202,000. The lots are all on over-sized lots; especially by today's standards. The entire subdivision has towering pine and oak trees.

Sherwood Forest is accessible to all the amenities Tomball has to offer. It is close to shopping, medical facilities, ball parks, parks and much more.

The subdivision is in the highly acclaimed Tomball ISD. The elementary is Tomball, the middle school is Tomball and the high school is Tomball High.

Marchel,

I wish our HOA fees were $10 per year!  The trees and the large lots look great - what kind of price range can a buyer expect in this Tomball subdivision?

Marchel - Low HOA is a good thing.  Being allowed to have a travel trailer in the yard would be a plus for many. 

Rita, I kept thinking I had forgot to add something.  I just added the price range.  The current prices have ranged from $135,000 to $202,000.  A HOA with a $10 fee is very unusual in our area.

Jennifer, the low HOA is an appeal for this subdivision.  I had a couple buy in this subdivision because they wanted a place for their travel trailer.  They have loved the subdivision and all the conviences of being in the City of Tomball.

Marchel, what a great looking subdivision...and those TREES! I love an area with lots of trees and this looks like a wonderful place to live!

Mary, it is a nice area.  I sold a home to a retired couple and they are loving it.

Linda, I love all the trees we have around this area.  I had no idea when we moved here 11 years ago that this area was so pretty.  We have loved the area.

Andrew, it is very close to the Woodlands. It would just be to the south and the west of The Woodlands.  I love all the trees around our area; it makes the area very picturesque. 

Marchel this is TOO TOO TOO SCARY!!!  We have a Sherwood Forest here as well with similar home age and prices.  Actually those pictures look like they could have been taken right here. 

Kimberly, our areas have quite a few similarities it appears.  There was a Sherwood Forest subdivision in Colorado but the streets were named things like Robin Hood or Friar Tuck.  The streets in this Sherwood Forest are just street names.  So does your Sherwood Forest have the street names to go along with it?

Marchel, YOu never cease to amaze me with the knowledge of your community and your photograhic skills.

Kay, my photographic skills are very much in the development stage so you don't know how much your comment means to me.  We bought a Canon Rebet XTi this year and most of it is just having a great camera.  There has been a bit of a learning curve involved but I'm getting there.

Marchel - If I had not known where you live I would have thought you took those pictures somewhere here in NH. We have lots of trees and builders do not cut them down when building except for the buildable area for the most part. Lovely subdivision.

Judy, isn't it amazing that there are this many trees in Texas.  We had no idea before we moved here that the area was so pretty.  I wish I could say builders did not cut our trees down but here they often clear cut subdivisions.  It is so sad.  Sometimes I just want to throw myself in front of the tractor but I know that would be futile.

Marchel, yes the streets have the Sherwood names.  There is a Robin Hood Way, Friar Tuck Way, Forrest Court, and things like that.

I have been through this subdivision before and there are lots of nice older homes with large lots and beautiful trees. Its well worth the look and i can say that i love Tomball having lived there myself!

Shellee, I love Tomball also, it is the city with a heart.

Karen Anne, this would be a great place for someone who is looking for an oversized lot with privacy.
