The Troy FunFest is sponsored by the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce, and will be held on April 16th & 17th, 2010 in Downtown Troy. It will be from the Community Center Pavilion along the Railroad Tracks into Trojan Park. There will be all types of excitement....

Lots of Arts & Crafts on Saturday 8 to 5 at the Pavilion. There has been lots of interest in booth rentals this year for items such as candles, purses, etc. If the weather cooperates, there should be a big crowd there this year!

A Parade will be at 10 Saturday Morning along Main Street in Downtown. There is normally a variety of entries, including antique cars and tractors, emergency vehicles, off road vehicles, bands, twirlers, cheerleaders, horses, and varies each year!
This year the Chamber is excited to be able to bring to you an old fashioned Chuck Wagon Cook-Off! The Dutch Oven cooking will be fired with either oak or mesquite in open pits and enclosed cooking boxes, in the Trojan Park. The Chamber will be offering plate lunches to the public for $10.00 a plate, from Noon to 1PM on Saturday and Judging results at 4PM. Tickets should be available for presale soon, and will go fast. Each Chuck Wagon will cook for their crew and plates for the public, including meat, potatoes, beans, bread, and dessert! In addition to the judging of their food, they are judged on their wagon, campsite, and dress. Come on over and look around and step back in time....
The Brazos Bottom Cowographers is one of the largest gunfighter groups in Texas, and the only traveling group that brings 35 to 70 performers, over 100 feet of streetfront, and literally hundreds of props to every away show, and will be coming to Troy for this year's FunFest. They will be set up in Trojan Park, and will perform two seperate planned shows, free to the public. They perform at about 20 events per year, and literally thousands of satisfied audience members have enjoyed their performances each year. This is family oriented entertainment for all ages! Their shows consist of historic, comedic, and fictional sketches, all performed in the spirit of the old west. They do an introduction, safety briefing, and a closing during each performance.

Carnival is Friday Night & All Day Saturday. No telling what you might see!

Car Show will be across Main Street from City Hall on Saturday from 10 to 2. The car show is a popular event each year as well. Bring your vehicle, and come on out to join in on the fun...

Stop and grab a burger, turkey leg, and cold drink, followed by a funnel cake while enjoying the excitement. There will be Food & Drink Vendors on site...
Downtown Shopping, and many other fun activities for the whole family.....
