Scouting For Food

If you live in Wylie, Murphy, Sachse, and Nevada you will be seeing a lot of yellow bags hanging on door knobs this coming Saturday, Feb. 19th. The local Boy Scouts will be collecting canned goods for Scouting For Food. Scouting For Food, is one of the largest food collection drives in the United States. Last year more than 17,500 cans were collected in our area alone. All collections will be going to the Wylie Christian Care Center and Copeville Baptist Pantry. Needed Items: Pasta and Rice Dry Cereals, Oatmeals Canned Meat and Fish Peanut Butter, Jelly Packaged Pasta or Dinner Mixes Soups Canned Spaghetti, Ravioli, Chili Canned Fruit or Vegetables If a Scout does not come to your door to collect or you live in a more rural area, call 972.814.5997 or email Stevens at Tardam@AOL.com.
