Thursdays Thought Revisited............

As we as a Nation approach the 4th of July. I had a thought which is amplified by a song sung by Merle Haggard. Merle Haggard has been called the poet of the common man, and these lyrics sum up what I have been thinking.

The song is call the Fightin' Side of Me:

I hear people talkin' bad,
About the way we have to live here in this country,
Harpin' on the wars we fight,

An' I don't mind 'em switchin' sides,
An' standin' up for things they believe in.

I read about some squirrely guy,

I really love the freedoms that we enjoy here in the United States! Unlike some, I have lived abroad for an extended period of time, and I will admit that we have room for improvement, but regardless of what people think, this Great Nation has far more to offer than any other place that I have been! It is time to rally together and bring the greatness back to the USA!

It all starts with us, the people! Thanks again to all those brave men and women that fight to protect and preserve our freedoms! I do believe that there are somethings worth fighting for, and you, the American Soldier do that for us! Thanks again!
