Blogging and Realtors...................

I was studying the NAR Web 2.0 course and read and article about blogging that was done by NAR. They had an interesting statistic. That statistic said that only 4% of Realtors have a blog of any kind. I was shocked, I realize that most if not members of Active Rain have another place where they blog at least occasionally, I know that I have a couple of places that I write once in a while.

To think that only 4% of the Realtors working today are taking advantage of this great education and marketing opportunity makes me wonder just how long it will be before the tide of new technology and business models run them over! It is sad, so many of this group are great people, with wonderful knowledge and experience to share and help the rest of us!

I am glad that I was at least smart enough to learn a couple of years ago that this Active Rain was such a wonderful place to learn and grow as a blogging Realtor. It is still a great place, there is so much knowledge, talent and experience here, and not just real estate experience. Everybody on here brings not only their experience in Real Estate, but their experience in life and other careers and professions as well.

Even those that have worked manual labor jobs to get to the point that they are able to work a career in Real Estate, bring the knowledge of what it is to work hard to attain your goals. So don't be afraid to share your experience and knowledge with us. Some of the greatest lessons I have learned in life, I learned from a man that didn't finish High School. This man knew that a school building wasn't the only avenue of learning. He read voraciously and worked just as hard.

So please share with us your experiences and get off the fence, this is a wonderful place to cut your teeth on blogging! Become one of the minority and differentiate yourself from the crowd! Tell us about yourself in a blog!
