I keep MSN as my homepage on one of my web browsers. I do that so that I can skim headlines and look at sports scores easily. There was an article that appeared last night. It was entitled 10 Stressful Jobs That Are Worth It. I was somewhat surprised that an Assistant was at the top of the list, followed by an EMT, then a Farmer. Real Estate Agent came in at #7 which shocked me! The national media had something good to say about us? Come on!
The reasons that they list that it is stressful is that it is a commission based job, which is stressful. Another reason was that buyers can be fickle and you really don't ever know what type of person that you will be working with.
The reasons that they gave for it to be worth it is the freedom that we have from an office environment, we choose our own hours. (Their words, not mine) They also listed that we get to help people find the adult dream of owning property. It is a rush, I have to admit to that.
I just found the article interesting, I also found it good that we finally seem to be getting some good press from the national media. They did list our average income in the $39K range, which may dissuade some from thinking that we are all rich, live in mansions and drive new BMW's every year. Anyway, I thought it was interesting enough to share. Have a great Friday!
