It looks like a busy weekend here in Cedar City. The Iron County Search and Rescue Team is hosting their annual fund raising carnival here on North Main Street. This is a good opportunity to support those who will go out and search for you should you get lost in Iron County. Just sort of kidding, they do a great job and assisting the various agencies in the area with things like lost people, or helping the ambulance service with those that get hurt in the back country.

It isn't a gigantic carnival, but it is a lot of fun to come out and spend time with the family, and of course money for Search and Rescue. That should run through Sunday afternoon.
Another event that we have going on is the Rock Crawls. This is a chance for four wheel drive enthusiast to test their nerves and their equipment over a challenging course.
This should be fun to watch if you're into this kind of thing. I have never done the extreme rock crawling that these guys do, but the adreniline does get going when your looking straight down at the ground some 10 to 20 feet down! ESPN often films this for their Extreme Sports Shows. I haven't heard that they were coming this year, but even with out them it is exciting and fun.
Either event is supposed to be blessed with very nice weather. So if you're bored or just want to check us out, come up and see us!
