Les Schwab Tires : Les Schwab Tires was founded in 1952. The headquarters are now located in Bend Oregon after decades of calling Prineville Oregon "home." Les Schwab was an amazing man. He founded and ran the company like no one else could. I have had the honor of hearing him speak numerous times at meetings. His beliefs and values are what kept the company strong. The way he structured the company is like no other company I have ever heard of. His $100 dollar story is unique and is a core part of how he set the company up. Les Schwab's book is well worth reading with excellent points on how and why he set the company up to run the way he envisioned. An amazing story.
