Wrap it up! Giving back to Coins for Kids in Southern Utah!

To date this year, Coins for Kids has raised $25,000 with the goal of raising $125,000 to purchase gifts for financially challenged families in the Southern Utah area. C'mon everyone! Together we can make this happen as a community for all children in need!

I'll be giving my friend Holly a call to help wrap the gifts at the Dixie Center once again. We grab a sandwich and a drink and catch up with each other while snipping paper, wrapping, taping and bow tying each gift with care in anticipation of the surprise that awaits each child! I get soooo excited!

My family has a history with Coins for Kids...

They delivered gifts to my children the Christmas of 1996 after my son had lung surgery and as a single parent had to take time off from work to care for him during his recovery. I quit my job with the advice from the doctor, moved to St. George, Utah, where warmer weather and cleaner air was in surplus so his lungs would heal.

Coins for Kids is a non-profit charity that raises money in order to provide Christmas for so many financially challenged families. I help wrap the gifts now every year in order to 'give back' the gifts that my family received that year and hope that somehow I am making a difference in a family's Christmas experience!
