After tWant to be inspired? Look no further than Brittany Mossor, a Utah teen making a positive difference!he doctor at Primary Children's Hospital found a dibilitating tumor on the L-4 vertebrae of her spine, Brittany Mossor, a very active 17 year-old, had major surgery to remove it on December 8th, 2010, as well as the disc itself. And inserted in its place, a wire cage and metal rods connecting the L-3 to the L-5 vertebrae. The recovery time took 3 months away from school, in bed with an extensive hospital stay.
Her mom and dad, Julie and Gary gave her a Build-A-Bear to cheer her up, dressed in a cheerleader uniform as Brittany is a cheerleader for Tooele High School in Tooele, Utah.
Prior to surgery and during her stay at the hospital, she saw a lot of children that were seriously sick or critically ill with cancer and was inspired to do something to cheer them up during Christmas. She started Britt's Bears and began to raise money for 10-15 bears and little did she know that when she was done, that she would deliver 100 bears to Primary Children's Hospital!
Wow! What an effort this Utah teen has put forth to bring joy to the lives of children who are going through some trying times, both physically and emotionally. Each child will receive a Build-A-Bear and a $5 gift certificate to dress it in an outfit that represents their personality! She also delivered 5 much needed blankets.
