The developer only cares about the bottom line and does not listen to the people who will be living in the development. There is a company that has proven an exception to this rule and now they need your help to design a new neighborhood center in Salt Lake
The Kentlands Company, is a company with a history of listening to the community to develop neighborhood centers that validate community and enhance the individual lifestyle. This company is starting an innovative online community for the people of Salt Lake City to voice how they want their neighborhood centers to be.
How it Works
You send me an email asking for an invitation. I send you and invitation to the online community. The community crowdsources their ideas and input just like Wikipedia and You tube crowdsource their content. Members invite others to join. Once the community has 40-50 members a working meeting will be scheduled with the community and Kentlands Company. Kentlands makes decisions for the neighborhood center based on the input and amount of involvement from the online community.
Who Would Want to Join
This investment is for a future tenant base which will consist of diverse incomes, local indie businesses, and people who want to see a vibrant (ie a diversity of people enlivening the streets at day and night), authentic (ie local independents rather than chains), walkable (compact, mixed-use), beautiful (ie human-scaled/proportioned buildings, parking underground or behind buildings) downtown.*
