A Season for Change:A New Day, A New Year and A New Beginning! These are The Best Days! (This song goes perfectly with what my heart has been feeling. If time will allow, please listen to this song)
It’s a new day, a new year and a new beginning and with new beginnings often times a season of change.
Just as the biochemical processes change the color of leaves and paint them into a beautiful work of art with red, yellow, orange, brown, and green. We too go through change.
Often times change motivates us and allows us to put things into perspective with a new start. So if you haven't done so already, pull out your canvas, paint brush and palette of many colors and begin painting your beautiful picture for this new beginning. Pay close attention to every detail, because there is so much waiting for you.
As the days shorten and the sunlight declines, the leaves gently fall to the ground, to serve as a protection to all of the surrounding trees through the decomposition process. How truly amazing that is that trees thrive on the falling leaves to survive through the winter months. Just as we go through change.
We too thrive on all the goodness that surrounds us, like 60,000 trees standing tall in the forest, each and every one serving a message of countenance, optimism, and light. We experience change with technology, our clients, the market, our marketing skills and the people we surround ourselves with. When the wind blows and it blows with madness, I choose to be standing tall with all the people who fill my life with positivity, strength and love.
The temperature falls, the water vapor that fills the clouds overhead freezes into millions of tiny crystals which fall
from the sky and land ever so gently onto our noses, cheeks and grasps a hold of the branches of all the surrounding trees. As the temperature rises and the snow melts into the ground it serves as nourishment for continued growth. We too find our way with change.
Throughout many times in our lives we go through a process of finding our way and reaching our growth. Where we land depends on each of us individually. In moments of difficulty, when we don’t have the clarity to decide where we need to be, that’s when we need to have the much needed confidence and belief in ourselves that our decisions don’t have to be made alone. For me, I never forget the ones who love me and support me in my life. I fully understand that not always, can I conquer every decision on my own. For God, family and friends I am thankful.

The morning dew drops can be felt in the the air as if a kiss from God and a whisper of hope that all is well. Tiny little buds appear on trees, the sun beats the warmth for new life to take place and beautiful spring smells, colors and sounds will fill the air. What a great reminder of all the beauty that life has to offer us in this continued time of change.
We all need that hope of new life and that warmth of a new day that will fill our souls with the confidence to bloom into the beings that we were intended. Living for now, looking forward to more change and holding onto the memories that helped me to grow into the person I am today is where my travels will take me.
In the Summer solstice, the sun appears to stand still for a moment, as if to take a deep breath and get ready for
the long days ahead filled with success, wisdom and adventure to be taken in by all that savor it.
Just as the sun stands still for a moment, we too need to stop and take a deep breath. We need that time of reflection and burning desire. Our health, families and profession depend on it.
With many by my side, my walk through an autumn forest, over a winter’s bridge, through a spring field of red tulips and resting in the warmth of the summer sun will find me with the peacefulness in my heart, the gentleness in spirit and the exuberance for all that life has to offer with each new day. I hope YOUR walk will leave you feeling this way too.
We are all on an everlasting circle of change and that is what makes life so amazingly beautiful. We are just completing week one of what is going to be an incredible year and already so much change has taken place in my life and in all of our lives.
The exuberance that I’m feeling right now has left me with a perma grin and a fresh new start. Although only a mere 1 ½ years in the business, I now feel as though I’m just beginning again. To get to this point it wasn’t a downhill ride with no bumps in my path. I hit the “mud and muck” and knew without doubt I must dare to move and make a change. Part of my 2008 business plan was to move forward and on Wednesday 1/2/2008 I kept that promise to myself and began the process with an at home office, a new logo, a brand new start, and holding on to my clients that I love so much.
Thank you for walking by my side my friends. You just never know what God has in store for you and I’ll tell you, my knees hit the ground many times before I was able to get here. in our first week of this beautiful new year. May God bless you all and fill each of your days with change that will fulfill your life in every positive way and for the change that doesn't seem bright, may you find that light to lead you along the journey.
Graham Colton: Best Days
With everything I've ever done
I'd give it all to everyone
For one more day
Another night I'm waking through
Another door I walk into
I can't break
And it's a winding road
And it's a long way home
So don't wait
For someone to tell you it's too late
Cause these are the best days
There's always something tomorrow
So I say let's make the best of tonight
Here comes the rest of our lives
I count the steps
The distance to
The time when it was me and you
It's so far gone
Another face,
Another friend,
Another place,
Another end,
But I'll hang on
And it's a winding road
And it's a long way home
So don't wait
For someone to tell you it's too late
Cause these are the best days
There's always something tomorrow
So I say let's make the best of tonight
Yeah, let's make the best of tonight
Here comes the rest of our lives
Rest of our lives
And it's a winding road
It's a long way home
So don't wait
For someone to tell you it's too late
Cause these are the best days
There's always something tomorrow
So I say let's make the best of it
Don't wait
Cause no one can tell you it's too late
Cause these are the best days
There's always something tomorrow
So I say let's make the best of tonight
Yeah, let's make the best of tonight
We'll make the best of tonight
Here comes the rest of our lives

Julie, Where's the part that says you're running through those beautiful places training for the April 2008 Salt Lake City 5k? :-)
Julie, I am reading so much about change right now from so many rainers... It looks like our time together has inspired a number of us to make some changes in our lives and in our business. Thinking about change remind some of something I read in a Seth Godin blog today..."Soon, the new thing will be better than the old thing will be. But if you wait until then, it’s going to be too late. Feel free to wax nostalgic about the old thing, but don’t fool yourself into believing it’s going to be here forever. It won’t." and "Every single industry changes and, eventually, fades. Just because you made money doing something a certain way yesterday, there’s no reason to believe you’ll succeed at it tomorrow."
Here's to a prosperous new year that brings you riches in all areas of your life... your family, your health, your finances, and your relationships
Julie, we are constantly re-inventing ourself and it is all ok. Life is good. I hope changes you make continue to make you happy along your journey. I'm rooting for you! Life is always about renewal.
