Today's OFHEO (Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight) Report http://www.ofheo.gov/media/pdf/4q06hpi.pdf found the following:
"The states with the greatest rates of appreciation between the fourth quarter of 2005 and the fourth quarter of 2006 were: Utah (17.6%), Wyoming (14.3%), Idaho (14.0%), Washington (13.7%) and Oregon (13.5%)."
Based on information within this report, Utah represented three of the Top 15 MSAs (Metropolitan Statistical Areas) for appreciation rates during the one year period ending 12/31/2006:
1) Bend, Oregon (21.39%)
2) Wenatchee, Washington (20.94%)
3) Provo-Orem, Utah (19.92%)
4) Salt Lake City, Utah (19.76%)
5) Boise-Nampa, Idaho (17.94%)
