In Reach of my Chair
My days can be hectic with lots of comings and goings (or is it vice versa?)
But my home provides the rest and relaxation that I need to recharge. I often trundle around the yard to investigate the happenings in nature, and to see what plants are now guests at "our place". For most of my life I had "a home among the gum trees". Now in Sandy, Utah I find my surroundings to have a perpetual freshness.
I appreciate the mature trees with their new foliage, I delight in the small plants and their struggle to make themselves known, and I can invite the snails and slugs to live elsewhere.
Springs brings much activity; so much and so varied. With the soil being super-saturated, I keep my chair to hard standing and pathways. Abundance is within my reach. Today I sampled new leaves to inspect their intricacies.
I have long used my scanner as a camera (take image and store as a file). In this case I have kept a white background, but the use of different cloth covers allows me to change background colors for this miniature work. This technique can make masterpieces of the small, small world.
