The Benefits of Going the Extra Mile

It is common practice to give clients a closing gift to thank them for using your services and congratulate them on closing on their new home. It always feels good to know that I helped them find a place and see a smile on their face.

Today it was the other way around :-) I got to my office and Champion Title had sent me a Subway gift card thanking me for always keeping them updated on what is going on and having clear communication from the time the contract is ratified through settlement. Then a client of mine came through the door holding a gift bag. I immediately told them they didn't have to do that, but they wanted to thank me for all the hard work I put in for them and "going the extra mile" to make sure their real estate needs were met.

It felt great to know that I provide a service people are thankful for. Today I'm enjoying some delicious cookies and signing a lease for their son who they referred me to right after we closed on their property. Needless to say I love this job and all the wonderful people I meet along the way!
