Just like Paul Revere shouted “the British are coming”, so are the Buyers in full force.
I don’t think it is just me, but I have had so many buyers lately that I am having a tough time keeping up with them, let alone keeping them straight. This weekend alone, I took out three buyers, didn’t write any offers, but that is our next step.
I know it’s not just my partner and I, because on Sunday evening our office was a buzz with agents and their clients reviewing listings, writing offers, getting loan approvals in place, etc. It feels great to see so much excitement in the air with real estate. We’ve been on such a negative path for a while, it’s awesome to see movement, and lots of it!
This is good news for everyone, especially the sellers out there who are waiting for their homes to sell. Keep in mind, all of these buyers are looking for a good deal, not unrealistic, but fair. Overpriced listings are not on our shopping list, so Sellers price your home to sell because:
THE BUYERS ARE COMING!

I havent' seen it here in St. Louis yet, but I hope that you're right!

Bob- It's been crazy in the DC area for the last few weeks and this weekend just takes the cake. I hope things pick up for you soon in St. Louis. We all deserve a shot of positivity!
Same here. I had 3 buyers this week, 2 contracts so far. It really does feel so much better when the office is buzzing with business and I have some of it. lol.
Oh yeah... how to keep up. I use a spreadsheet and top producer. Just an FYI.
Have a fabulous Real Estate Day!
You are so right. I also feel overwhelmed by all the buyers I feel like I am working with. I feel like I need to tie a finger on all my finges and toes to remind myself to stay in touch with them and not allow them to fall by the waist side. Is that correct terminology, 'waist side'? I've never actually had to type that out lol It looks funny, okay I'll shut up now. :)
Anona-Glad the joy is spreading. I'm just getting ready to head to the office to update my Top Producer so my partner and I can get all our clients straightened out and on track.
Have a Fabulous Day, too!
It's crazy over here in Alexandria, too...I was in the office this weekend and the buzz was deafening! Uh, has anyone alerted the Washington Post they can stop publishing housing market gloom and doom now?
We are definitely seeing that Spring Market early this year!
your Friend in Charlottesville!
Susan- I'm with you-let's alert the Washington Post!
Charles-Yes, spring is here! Now if it just wasn't so COLD today...
Lindsay- LOL, your comment was funny and that's exactly how I feel!
Chelle
There are a lot of buyers looking for the great deals and many of them are out there looking for Realtors to find them for them. Now is a great time to know your market inventory inside and out.
Gary- I couldn't agree with you MORE. I was checking out more inventory today, it pays to be in the know.
I have had a few old buyers get fired up about interest rates, they got off their duffs and prequalified and I had three showings this week already.....................
Dee Dee- Don't you feel like they are just coming out of the woodwork? Got to love it!
Looked at the title... and then instantly laughed at the photo. We're doing what we can to scare them up too. Also thanks for input on our keys freeze thing earlier today. Have 2 macs, and would love to have the time to get set up on one so I could do all pc work on it. Something to look forward too.
In the meantime, am with you. They are coming.
It's a wonderful thing isn't it? Thank goodness the ice is breaking and buyers are realizing there are some phenomenal deals out there.
I agree, somebody needs to tell The Post. According to them, aren't we officially in a 'housing recession'???
Hello Chelle,
That is wonderful news. We had a flurry of activity a couple weeks ago but it died down. Hopefully, it will pick up again soon.
Chelle, Yes. they are coming - my Contact Me email is becoming more active each day - it's a pleasant change, Karen
Gary B.- Good luck with your Buyer's seminar, I'm sure you will 'scare' up a few more!
Colleen- It is a wonderful thing!
Tamara-Housing recession...where?
Cynthia-Our flurry has been going on for a few weeks, I hope it stays that way!
Karen-Pleasant change, indeed!
Very slowly on this side. But thanks for the ray of hope.
Chelle - I'm hopeful and optimistic, but haven't seen it in our neck of the woods, in southern Minnesota. I know things will change with the Spring market, and I hope it happens soon. Best of luck for continued success with your buyers.
It is great to hear about your success. Things are finally starting to pick up in our area also.
Scott-What side are you on? I thought we worked in the same area. I'm spreading hope to you.....
Lynn-I think it helps that we are in a large Metropolitan area. This is a very transient community, especially with the military and the government. Hope things pick up!
Donna-The Buyers are coming!
I have been swmped too Chelle and it is great isn't it? Definitely the direction we want to be going in
Loved the positive energy in this Post :) And we too have seen an increase in activity.
Sally-It is great and hope it continues until Fall!
Kathy-I'm a firm believer in being positive. Glad CA is feeling the activity too!
Chelle, the buyers are coming! I had three this weekend. Now it's a matter of getting them to pull the trigger and make a decision. It will happen.
Brian-Yes! I agree...now if we can just get them to write the offer. So many choices...
We've noticed a pick up in Jacksonville too. I had a great month in December but haven't been too too busy so far this month. Its good to hear that its moving in a positie manner.
Brittany- Positivity is definitely a move in the right direction
Chelle, I'm very happy for you that your buyer traffic has picked up for you. Hopefully that bodes well for a strong year.
Chelle,
Congratulations on getting the pendulum moving. Maybe having the 8th lowest unemployment rate(3.2%) in the country helps too!
Here in so Cal nothing yet. I hope that changes real soon. The market is still slow here.
I was thinking the same thing. I picked up a few buyers last week. I think this is great. Now to get as many buyers as listings I have.
Gary-So far, so good..thanks!
Zach-You may be right about the great job situation we have in the DC area.
Mary-Your time is coming...keep the faith!
Stella-Business is GOOD!
