Taken a couple of weeks ago
I am just wondering from those that know me if I look the same as my profile picture that was taken 2 years ago. I had 2 recent experiences lately that got me thinking about this and the power of having a complete profile on your social networking sites and blogs.
1. I was leaving an office building during the day and passed a lady who turned around and stopped me and said - "Are you Naoma?" I am usually pretty good with faces and not so good with names. "I am your Facebook friend!" And she told me her name and I instantly remembered her name and was glad that she recognized me from such a random encounter.
2. Last week I went to a business luncheon and ended up sitting next to a realtor who said "Hey Naoma!" Again, a woman I had not met in person before but same thing " I am one of your friends on Facebook and I also know your husband"
All I can say is - how cool is that? You can turn your social networking profiles into actual business opportunities!
I can't begin to tell you how successful being consistent and having an online presence is to our everyday business.
Do I need an updated picture for all of my profiles? My professional one was taken before babies :) I might have a few more gray hairs than 2 years ago! :)

look the same! wait for the 5 year mark
beautiful as always!
Justin - then what...more gray hairs or time to get a new profile pic? :)
Dionne - thanks to you!
This happened to me at the NAR conference in November. I'm standing on the exhibit hall floor and I hear a voice calling my name. I turn around and there is Midori Miller. The group got larger as time went by all of us recognizing each other from our photos on AR. What a hoot. I don't think you have changed enough to worry about changing your profile picture. Now if you had dyed your hair blonde and teased it up a bit :-)
i can't say i see a huge difference.. I like some of those real estate agents pictures, they sure do crack me up... If you look on their webpage or business card you would never recognize them in public. Some were taken 20+ years ago
Hi there. I actually like your newer photo simply because you look more personable, natural, approachable. Has nothing to do with gray hairs or babies!
Cindy - thanks! I tried being a blond for halloween once...never again.
Charlie - thanks...i appreciate your support!
Janna - awhh thanks. Kind of blurry though...taken with cell phone camera.
I like your smile in the second picture. You should smile a lot. You'll reel them in with a smile like that.
Naoma you look great in person. When I took my picture, I went to Glamour shots and they took 53 pictures. Out of those, I only liked 5, and out of those five I only use 2. After that picture I put on about 20 pounds. The picture was taken a little over a year ago. Since you know me, what do you think about my picture?
Jim - thanks! I am thinking of updating my pic.
Tere - you look great in this picture! You are fine too! :)
