Chesapeake Wine Festival 2010

The Rotary Club of Chesapeake Virginia will host their first annual Wine Festival on October 30, 2010 in the City Park located off Greenbrier Parkway in Chesapeake. Proceeds from the event will be donated to several Rotary-supported charities including the Sidney M. Oman Cancer Center at the Chesapeake Regional Hospital.

Wines from local wineries, in addition to vintages from across the globe will be available for purchase or tasting. Local restaurants will also be on site to provide some delicious dishes to accompany the fabulous wines. Live entertainment will round off the event to make it a special occasion not to be missed.

If you think that you are not very knowledgeable about wine or how to pair specific wines with certain foods, there will be a series of seminars to help wine-novices gain a greater appreciation for wine.

Advance ticket purchases are available for $30, or you can purchase your ticket on the day of the event at the gate for $35.

Remember to bring ID as proof of age will be required in order to obtain a wine sampler wrist band.

This is a pet-free event so please leave Fido at home! The Festival will take place regardless of the weather.
