Chesapeake School Classrooms Take A Hit

With the economy faltering the schools in Chesapeake are taking $14 million dollar hit. Where will the fat come from in an already lean school system. Bigger classes, fewer classes offered, delays in adopting new text books and much more. The process is long and painful. Part of the shortfall is coming from the state and part from the local economy, especially with real estate taxes coming in slower and lower then expected. Hopefully the school board will make the right cuts.
