There was a builder, Ollie Fitzgerald, and he owned a large parcel of land along the north side of Bleak House Rd, which he developed into three cul de sac streets called Fairgrove III (Fairgrove Phase I & II are located along Reas Ford Road). Fairgrove III consists of Fairgrove Court, Caro Court, and Montei Drive, all of which are located along Bleak House Road in Earlysville, Virginia.

The Bleak House Road area is very special. There are the homes on these traditional rural neighborhood streets, and then there are properties along Bleak House like ours (we live on Bleak House Rd and love it), with 2 - 10 acres. And then there are 20-acres parcels, on up to hundreds of acres. It’s very eclectic, never boring, always friendly, and a great place to live. Many of us that live along Bleak House Rd enjoy walking; the views are really quite something.

Bleak House Road was named for an historic home, "Bleak House", which is located about halfway between Reas Ford Rd and Buck Mountain Rd, which are the roads which intersect Bleak House Rd at either end.

Very generally, the homes in Fairgrove range from $300,000 - 500,000, with the average being $350,000 – 450,000.
