I have always been a huge enthusiast of listing homes and/or keeping properties on the market in the Winter. I remember ONE CLIENT in particular, several years ago, that called me in December and wanted to take their house off the market until Spring. By the way, this was a property listed for WELL OVER A MILLION DOLLARS! Snow was already knee deep and the waterfront of this particular property was beginning to freeze over.
I shared with my sellers that nearly everyone on the lake had removed their property for the winter and perhaps, just in case someone is looking into this particular retirement area for a place to live, they should keep their property ON the market! They agreed.....
Here is the Good News! Three weeks later they had an offer and we closed in early February, when it was 18 degrees outside with blowing snow. The lake in front of their house was frozen over! These sellers smiled all of the way to the bank. They expressed their gratitude to me for sharing with them about their need to stay on course in selling their property.
Perhaps you are contemplating whether or not you should do the same when it comes to selling your house in the winter. This might be especially true if you are living in the Northern Part of the Country.
Here is an ARTICLE that might just help. In fact this is something truly worth reading - one of the best articles I've read on this subject:
