The total number of U.S. workers claiming state unemployment benefits were down significantly at the start of June by their largest amount since November 2001. Claims broke a 21-straight increase. New jobless claims rose a bit. The May index of leading indicators showed more signs that the U.S. economy is moving in the right direction-UP! Great news for everyone!

I certainly hope these numbers indicate we're beginning to move in the right direction, Norma. I'd love to see it happen in my neck of the woods for sure. We've been hit pretty hard by the rundown in the economy. Buyers have quite a few properties to choose from, though. That's good.

Actually our number have bben going up since January. They are still far off 2007 levels, but they are going in the right direction.
