Debbie: How beautiful! Reminds me sooo much of Blue Ridge...I know I'd feel right at home there.

Hi Kim, I love this view of the lake- just as we round the bend out of our cove, there it is! I'm sure the scenery is very similar to that of Blue Ridge, Georgia. Thanks for commenting.

Debbie: What a great picture. I haven't been on the water in years. I think I'm way overdue for a vacation to do fun stuff like this.

What a beautiful lake. It amazes me how the hills/mountains rise right out of the water.

Chris, you should visit SML this spring or summer. It's especially beautiful with the water back up to full pond.

Debbie,

This a great picture. Wish I was there, and not in 15 degree Utah weather.

Rich, I love this view of the lake, especially since it won't change. 5,000 acres were recently set aside by AEP, nothing will be built on it. The dam is located between the two mountains.

Thanks Lisa, I'm sure it's a bit colder out west. We were up at the lake on Sunday, my husband was working on the dock in a t-shirt, but it was a bit cool. I'm ready for spring!

I actually am thinking of looking at lake property down that way... this is a great picture.

Konnie, we just took a quick trip to Huddleston tonight to check on the progress of our boat lift. There are some deals at the lake!

Beautiful Debbie,  it is such a great place.

Is there water between the two hills?

Hi Robert, I love Smith Mountain Lake, it's such a relaxing place for us. I can't wait to get the boat out in April. Thanks for stopping by and feel free to post one of your beautiful photos of the lake!

Hi Marchel, The Smith Mountain Lake Dam is located between the two mountains. Our lake house is very close by and it's one of our favorite places to stop and hang out while on the water.

Debbie, love these water photos. I always enjoy the photos that everyone shares. Beautiful! ;-)

Teri, you've got some great water sites in Arizona and we love the Scottsdale, Fountain Hills area. Thanks for stopping by.
