January 2012 Real Estate Market Update for Prince William County, Manassas & Manassas Park
Year over year January was a good month for real estate. Manassas Park showed the biggest increase of sold volume coming it at 24.22%. Prince William County came in at 2.85 increase while Mansssas City seen a slight dip of 6.08%
There was a 63% decrease in the number of homes that sold in January 2012 over what sold in December 2011. This has to do with the extremely low inventory. In January there was only 1174 home for sale. This is a 2.4% few homes than in December. In my December's Real Estate Market Update I reported there as 1,254 homes for sale and 427 that had sold.
January's average sold price for the entire county was $269,980 this is an increase of 3.3% for the same time last year.
