Whoa, it was close! As the days of March ticked off it looked like we would not record any sales for the month in Madison County. I checked the local mls again today and the update was a relief for all home owners in the county. At the last minute a foreclosure made it through settlement on the 30th with a closing price of $140,600. A traditional resale closed on the 31st with a sold price of $107,000. In Madison, clearing out the inventory is always a good thing for those with a home to sell now or in the near future.
