As a native Bostonian, I know how fun St. Patrick's day can be. Up there the entire city shuts down on March 17th and the partying starts early, as I can personally attest.
In anticipation of potentially too much St. Paddy's Day cheer, the Washington Regional Alcohol Program, a non-profit based in McLean, is offering free cab rides. According to the Gazette, anyone 21 years or older can call the SoberRide line at 800-200-Taxi, and get a free ride home. Hours of operations for the free cab rides are from 4:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon through 4:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
Sounds like a great service. St. Patrick would be proud of their charity.
