It’ll be an afternoon potpourri of some of classical music’s greatest hits when the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra presents “Orchestral Gems” at 3 PM on May 2 at E.C. Glass Auditorium.
In a bit of a departure from most concerts, conductor Bruce Habitzruther will lead the orchestra in famous movements from all-star compositions such as Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, Mozart Symphony #40, the Dvorak “New World” Symphony, and a special performance of Haydn’s “Toy” Symphony with special celebrity guest artists.
The LSO is also working with the Central Virginia Area Agency on Aging to enable some of the agency’s clients to attend the concert in an effort sponsored by Bank of the James, Generation Solutions, The Summit, and Robert W. Baird & Co.
More information and online ticket information is available at www.lynchburgsymphony.com
A special offering now in effect for every $100.00 donated to the Symphony before April 30 will get 2 adult tickets free to this concert. That's a $40.00 value.
