Del Ray Alexandria VA Short Sales And Foreclosure Report For January 2011

One of Alexandria City's most sought after neighborhoods is the area of Del Ray. Known for the shops on Mount Vernon Avenue, and the close proximity to Braddock Road metro, Del Ray attracts buyers with its charming condos, dazzling duplexes, beautiful bungalows, and charismatic colonials.

In the Del Ray zip codes of 22301 and 22305 (this also includes the subdivisions of Rosemont and Beverley Hills), there are currently two active short sale homes for sale, ranging in price from $195,000 to $360,000. In January, two short sale listings went under contract. There were 12 short sales that sold in and around Del Ray in 2010, according to MLS data.

The volume of foreclosures is also low in the Del Ray area, currently there are two active foreclosures for sale, ranging in price from $225,000 to $249,900.
