I was extra excited to see our nearby Farmer's Market with corn stalks, pumpkins, and a wide array of apples in early October. What I wasn't so thriled about was the 95+ degree heat I had to endure to pick them out! Last week in Northern Virginia saw record high temperatures. While Christmas decorations were being stocked onto department store shelves, people were out in shorts and t-shirts confused about the weather pattern.
I am glad to report, Northern Virginia is now officially in fall mode. Waking up to that crisp morning air that lingers throughout the day and enjoying the colors of fall. Anticipation of Halloween, Thanksgiving and the holidays...and let's not forget football.
So if you happen to find yourself passing through Northern Virginia, stop off at the nearest farmer's market and pick up a pumpkin and a bushel of apples - and don't worry about breaking a sweat. The weather's finally perfect!
