No Cash Proffer Increase in Chesterfield County for 2012

Chesterfield County has voted against raising the counties' cash proffer rates for fiscal year 2012. Chesterfield has declined an increase for the 3rd year, voting against raising the county's cash proffer rate for fiscal year 2012.

Cash proffers are a per-home fee paid by the home builder in the development approval process on new construction. Cash proffers are funds offered by developers at the time of rezoning to help defray capital facilities costs associated with the development. The following public facilities will be funded by cash proffers: schools, roads, parks, libraries, and fire stations. The County does not currently accept cash proffers to fund public facilities such as jails, landfills and other government facilities.

Cash Proffers are on properties that were zoned after 1989.
